How much do I need to deposit to activate a trading account?
Your trading account is activated once your total deposits meet the minimum requirement for the chosen account type. However, you do not need to deposit the minimum amount into each account separately - accounts are activated by type, based on your total deposited funds across all accounts.
For example, the minimum deposit for an ECN account is $1,000:
If you deposit $50 into your Standard account, the Standard account type becomes active and ready for trading. Even if you have 3 Standard accounts, by depositing into 1 of them, you activate all three.
Your ECN account will remain inactive until your total deposits reach $1,000.
If you then deposit an additional $950 (bringing your total deposits to $1,000) to your Standard account, the ECN account type will also become active.
