When something goes wrong in Meta Trader, the platform shows an error message to help you understand the issue. Knowing where to find these messages is important for troubleshooting problems like “Invalid Price”, “Market Closed”, or “Off Quotes”. This guide explains how to check error messages on both Meta Trader mobile app and desktop platform.
On Desktop (Meta Trader 4/5):
- Open the Terminal Window by clicking the View menu and select Terminal, or press Ctrl + T.
- Review the ‘Journal’ Tab
- Here you’ll see detailed logs, including error codes and messages for all actions.
On Mobile (Meta Trader App):
- Open the App and Log In, make sure you are successfully logged in
- Check the ‘Trade’ Screen
- If an order fails, the error message will appear immediately under the order details.
- Review the ‘Journal’ Section
- Tap Settings → Journal.
- This shows a history of all actions and error messages.
