If you receive an error message “Insufficient Funds” while trying to make a withdrawal, it means there is not enough available funds in the trading account to complete the withdrawal request.
When you are requesting a withdrawal, keep in mind that only the free margin amount will be available for deduction. We have described the calculation on that in detail in the article: Understanding Account Balance, Equity, and Free Margin.
A quick example:
If your account balance is $1,000 and you have open trades, and your Free Margin is $700. Even if your Free Margin is $700, you can withdraw it only if your Margin Level stays above MH Markets safety rule: Margin Level must stay above 200%
Let's assume that in the example above, your Floating Profit/Loss is 100$. If you withdraw $700, your Equity becomes $200 ($1000-$100-$700)
Margin is still $200
Margin Level becomes 100%
❌ 100% is too low → withdrawal will be rejected
How to fix the Insufficient funds issue and withdraw money?
If your withdrawal request was rejected with the message “Insufficient Funds,” consider the following:
- Make sure your Free Margin is enough to cover the withdrawal amount.
- Check the currency conversion rate, as it may reduce the final amount available for withdrawal.
- If you have open positions, your Margin Level must stay above 200% after the withdrawal amount is deducted.
- Close open positions that are using margin, if possible, to increase your Free Margin.
