Monitoring spreads is essential for traders, as spreads can impact trading costs and profitability. Meta Trader allows you to view spreads directly in the Market Watch window by enabling the spread column. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
Add Spread Column on Computer
- Open the Meta Trader and go to the Market Watch

- In the Market Watch window, right-click anywhere inside the instrument list.
- From the context menu, select Spread.
- Spread column is now in your market watch under "!".
- In MT5 the Spread appears in "Spread" column.
Add Spread Column on Mobile
- Launch the Meta Trader app on your mobile device.
- Tap Quotes from the bottom menu.
- Tap the three-dot menu (or “Edit”) in the top-right corner.
- Select Advanced Mode (if not already enabled).
- Once in Advanced Mode, the spread will appear next to each instrument in the Quotes list.
- Spreads are shown in points and update in real time.
