Take screenshots and record your screen on Windows and macOS for troubleshooting. If our support team asks you to share your screen, you can do this by taking a screenshot or recording your screen. This guide explains how to capture and share your screen on Windows and macOS.
Taking Screenshots
Windows:
- Press Windows Key + Shift + S.
- Select the area you want to capture.
- The screenshot is saved to your clipboard.
- Paste it into your email or support ticket using Ctrl + V.
MacOS:
- Press ⌘ Command + Shift + 4.
- Drag to select the area you want to capture.
- The screenshot is saved to your desktop.
- Attach the file to your support request.
Recording Your Screen
Windows (Game Bar)
- Press Windows Key + Alt + R to start or stop recording.
- Find your recordings in Videos > Captures.
- Attach the video file to your support ticket.
MacOS (Built-in Tool):
- Press ⌘ Command + Shift + 5.
- Select the recording area and click Record.
- Stop recording via the menu bar icon.
- The video is saved to your desktop.
