How to Share Your Screen with Customer Service for Troubleshooting

Take screenshots and record your screen on Windows and macOS for troubleshooting. If our support team asks you to share your screen, you can do this by taking a screenshot or recording your screen. This guide explains how to capture and share your screen on Windows and macOS. 

Taking Screenshots

Windows:

1. Press Windows Key + Shift + S. 
2. Select the area you want to capture. 
3. The screenshot is saved to your clipboard. 
4. Paste it into your email or support ticket using Ctrl + V.

MacOS:

1. Press ⌘ Command + Shift + 4. 
2. Drag to select the area you want to capture. 
3. The screenshot is saved to your desktop. 
4. Attach the file to your support request.

Recording Your Screen

Windows (Game Bar)

1. Press Windows Key + Alt + R to start or stop recording. 
2. Find your recordings in Videos > Captures. 
3. Attach the video file to your support ticket.

MacOS (Built-in Tool):

1. Press ⌘ Command + Shift + 5. 
2. Select the recording area and click Record. 
3. Stop recording via the menu bar icon. 
4. The video is saved to your desktop.
