Public Agent Fee: This fee applies when a follower has been introduced by an Introducing Broker (IB).
Example:
If the profit share is set at 30% and the public agent fee is set at 50%: When a follower earns $100 in profit, I receive $30 as profit share. However, $15 of that amount must be paid to the introducing agent. As a result, I keep $15, and the agent receives $15. -
Performance Fee - is the percentage paid by the followers for the provider's service.
The performance fee is paid on the profits only.
- Archiving disconnects all followers and closes their open orders.
- Your active orders remain open until you close them manually.
- To modify offers, archive the strategy or wait for followers to unsubscribe.
Subscription Provider Performance Fee
A Profit Fee is a performance-based fee charged only on new profits above the previous highest account value, known as the High Watermark.
- If the account makes a profit beyond its previous peak, the fee applies to the incremental gain only.
- If the account is below the High Watermark, no profit fee is charged until the previous peak is surpassed.
Example Calculation
- High Watermark: $10,000
- Current Account Value: $11,000
- Profit Fee Rate: 20%
Step 1: Calculate New Profit Above High Watermark
$11,000 – $10,000 = $1,000 (new profit)
Step 2: Apply Profit Fee
$1,000 × 20% = $200 (profit fee)
Result:
The provider earns $200 as a profit fee. The follower retains $800 of the new profit.
Scenario with Loss and Recovery
- Previous High Watermark: $10,000
- Account drops to $9,000 (no fee charged)
- Later rises to $10,500 → New profit above High Watermark = $500
- Fee = $500 × 20% = $100
