In Meta Trader (both MT4 and MT5), grid trading and volume analysis are two different tools that traders use for strategy and decision-making. The grid is a set of horizontal and vertical lines displayed on your chart. These lines help visually divide the chart into sections, making it easier to read price movements and align objects like trendlines or indicators. Volumes in Meta Trader refers to tick volume (number of price changes in a period, not actual traded lots).
How to Enable Grid and Volume in Meta Trader
- Grid
- Open Meta Trader
- Right Click on the chart > Grid
- Or Click Ctr + R
- Volumes
- Open a chart.
- Click Insert > Indicators > Volumes > Volumes
- Or enable the Volumes bar in the chart by right-clicking > Properties > Show Volumes.
The green color means that the volume of the current bar is larger than that of the previous one. The red color means that the volume of the current bar is smaller than the volume of the previous bar.
